Travelling to Dawei

Posted on January 4, 2023

Dawei is a place to visit and the locals are very polite.

In Dawei

In summer, beaches and islands

If it rains, it is a waterfall

In winter, go to the mountains for all three seasons

Dawei is more ancient than anywhere else in Burma

Dawei is a clean and tidy city.

Dawei Peninsula

Ocean Drive

Ocean Drive. Even the blue sea on one side. We were driving along a winding road between the sea and the valley. This is the moment when the wind blows from the sea and the wind blows from the sea as I open the car window with the lively music playing.

When I first came to the Dawei Peninsula, I sang that I would come back and do an ocean drive. If you have read that Ocean Road Drive is a world-famous drive in Australia, it would not be wrong to say that there is an inspiration for ocean driving.

From Dawei to the extreme shrine of Dawei Peninsula, we are on the ocean road for more than 50 miles. Before reaching there, we passed through villages with unique sword-shaped houses. Cut yellow paddy fields. It offers a variety of views across the area, the highest mountain in the area.

Following Ocean Road, you will come across a stone pagoda. We crossed the border with small villages. The road was flooded, but on the way back, we saw a lot of water. Along the way, visit Dawei’s famous Tizi Beach. Sin Htauk Beach, Pho Pho Kyauk Beach. There are branches such as Paradise Beach. Places along the Dawei Peninsula are in Launglon Township.

Shin Mor Pagoda

Shin Mor Pagoda

Out of Shin Koe Shin Pagodas, it is the farthest from Dawei. What I can not help but notice is that there is only one tree on the mountain … one of Shin Maw’s memories.

Horseshoe Beach

Although December, the hot season, the shade is strong and cool. The tree next door is like a mango tree. The tree was so big and did not look like a mango tree. The restaurant owner’s uncle said he had come from Australia to do research and was over 200 years old.

Mother Oasic

Just a short walk from Horseshoe Bay, you will find a platform that matches the beach. Dan with settings. If you do not know, like the famous foreign rabbi. Like Bali. You have natural beauty, so if you come up with something out of the ordinary, then they have to re-think their position. But foreigners who come to Dawei know what they are and come here.

Bar style, the layout of the living room is very much in line with the beach. The location of the shop is Kyaukmattat village.

Tzip Beach

Tzip Beach is six miles off the Dawei Peninsula Highway. There is a beach on one side around the mountains.

It was late in the afternoon when we returned to the vast sandy beach with its white sand.

Paradise Beach

Paradise Beach is a popular destination for foreigners as it is not crowded.

Jungle Waterfall

Once again, I did not see the waterfall, which was as beautiful as the end of the rainy season.

Myint Mo Lat Khat Taung

San Lan Village

From Launglon, take the road to San Hlan village. You will want to go hiking on the Sunrise Observatory on the Dawei Plain against the backdrop of the mountains. Even though the asphalt road is very steep, even with the first gear, it is very difficult to drive. If you look at the sunset, you can enjoy the beauty of the sea with the background of the island as mentioned above.

On the way back down the hill, I could see green boats and fishing boats scattering in the sea from above.

Maungmakan Beach

Maungmakan Beach

At sunset, we arrived at the beautiful Maungmakan Beach.

Maungmakan Beach is not as beautiful as the beaches at the south end, but there is a beautiful evening sunset.

To the north

Kalone Htar

Kalone Htar

The stream that flows between the mountains is clear and green. The symbol of the creek is the rocks and rocks in the creek. There are rocks. The dirt road to Kalon Hta village is in the middle of the mountain and we have to go down to La Mo creek. But the stairs leading down to it were very nice. Bungalows line the creek. It is said to have come from Thailand.

To the south

Pawa Beach

Pawa Beach

There are no swimmers.

There is no hotel bungalow.

There is no restaurant.

There is only clear blue water and clear sand.

There are some branches and leaves that came with the waves just around the village. Pea Beach Absolute Virgin Beach, Virgin Beach.

Hot Spring

Hot Spring

Coming back from the beach Drive a few more minutes on the road and continue on to the hot springs from the left lane. The hot springs erupted into the bizarre rocks. Next to the cool natural stream. Hot water came out of the rocks in the stream. The combination of hot and cold water produces the fair temperature of water to touch.

Downtown Dawei

  1. Dawei House Colonial-era building

Arriving in Dawei, I noticed a lot of colonial-era artefacts. High school General / Administrative Office Township Hall etc.

  1. Shwe Taung Sa Pagoda

Shwe Taung Sar Pagoda

The Golden Mountain Pagoda, also known as the Pagoda, is over 250 years old. There are many beautiful religious buildings in the temple compound.

  1. Shin Koe Shin

Old Monistory within Shin Oak Oor

For most Myanmar people, when it comes to Dawei, it is at the top of the Shin Ko Shin Pagoda. There is also a cultural heritage wooden monastery in Shin Oo. The floors are sloping but the pillars are still standing.

  1. Dawei Myoma Market

Myoma Market was also surrounded by British colonial art. I don’t like shopping, but I do buy local products, local food, and souvenirs at the local market. Mo also rallied where all the local people had gathered. There I also visited a Chinese monastery for a Chinese ancestral festival. I was lucky enough to have an event that was held every three years.

  1. Dawei entrance road with rows of palm trees

The symbol of Dawei is either from the entrance to Dawei. It is a row of palm trees lined up on either old Myeik Road or Laung Lone.

๐Ÿฐ Food, food

Dawei Traditional Food

Chilli Carb I ate at Maungdaw Lake.

Next, make a loaf of bread from Maungmakan Market

Dawei dishes from the restaurant at the staff welfare shop in front of the monastery.

Peanut salad with Dawei noodles and so on.

๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’– Help from Dawei customers

The kindness of Dawei people. Friendliness Help will give you the satisfaction of this journey. Let me invite you to visit.
