Tiger-Lady or Thazin Flower (Dawei Naming Bu-pan)

Thazin flower, recognized by the Burmese people as the Royal Deity Flower, is one of the most abundant flowers in Dawei. It has been considered as a royal flower since ancient times and is a royal flower.
It is only now that Thazin flowers have appeared in urban areas due to human transportation, but they are mainly found in Tanintharyi Yoma, Rakhine Yoma, Bago Yoma and Shan Hills. It is called Rakhine Thazin, Dawei Thazin, Thayarwaddy Thazin, Hpa-an Thazin depending on the place of flowering. Rakhine Thazin comes from Paletwa Township in the deep Rakhine forest and Dawei Thazin comes from the dark forest in Tanintharyi Division. The locals call it “Bupan”.
Thayawady Thazin egg is from Oatpho Township in Thayawady District and is also called Yoma Thazin Egg because it comes from the Yoma Forest in Bago. Hpa-an Thazin eggs are mainly grown in Kyaikdon, Kayin State, and all enjoy the hot and humid climate. Dawei Thazin egg is popular and expensive. After Dawei Thazin, the second most expensive is Rakhine Thazin, while Yoma and Karen Oo are reasonably priced.

Botanical Name It is called “Bulbophyllum auricomum” and in English it is called Tiger-Lady. It is not only beautiful in color but also beautiful in appearance. The fragrance of thyme is also pleasing to many. That is why the tiger-lady is described as a flower that is perfect in both shape and diameter. It is endemic to the low-elevation forests of Southeast Asia, specifically in Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, and the Indonesian Islands of Sumatra and Java. Its fragrant flowers open in late fall to early winter.

According to legend, the princess took out her heart and put it on a tree, and the heart are becoming a tiger lady egg. This are namely to be pure blood from the heart and is so called Thazin Flower. And the other way is that it blooms only in a clean place and is called Thant zin Pan and changes slightly that’s called Thazin Pan.
The tiger lady usually blooms once a year during the winter solstice. The tiger lady is a genus of Gamone and is related to the orchid. The original birth place is in the dark forest. People cling to coconut husks and grow clean ones with coconut husks in pots. The eggplant is more than an inch in size and has a greenish-brown body. In the rainy season, about two leaves of the size of the egg usually emerge. During the flowering period, the leaves fall off. The flowers are usually branched, with a central apex, and the small flowers usually bloom on each side.

Tiger-Lady is a wild flower that ascended to King City in the form of a shrine and flourished in the palace. The mayor issued an order to allow the people to decorate the Tiger-Lady (Thazin) in a separate orchid ornament after wearing Burmese Queens. Tiger-Lady (Thazin Pan) is also called Nat Pan because it blooms in the Nat Taw month and is worshiped with devotion.

How to grow Tiger Lady (Thazin Pan)

-Before planting Tiger-Lady eggs, the egg planting pole must be repaired. This pole are made with coconut shell. Coconut shell is tied to a pole with coconut hair. The pole is wrapped in coconut hair and watered to make the brown hair fall out. Then spray with fungicide.
-The roots must be cut into individual pieces to be cleaned. The rooted cuttings should be pricked with a toothpick and about a third of the cuttings are planted in a watering Tiger-Lady pole. Tiger-Lady eggs can be planted without sticks. Growing tiger lady requires adequate sunlight and light. If it rains a lot, the leaves will stick out. To protect it from heavy rain, it should be placed in a well-lit place.
